Appreciation Project

Honoring the Caregivers of our Community
I Thessalonians 5:12-13a

Our community is filled with pastors, counselors, frontline workers, teachers, and many others who serve our community diligently. We desire for these Community Caregivers to feel refreshed, encouraged, and valued.

On September 7th, we launched a 12 month Appreciation Project to show our Community Caregivers what they mean to us. One of the ways we want to show our gratitude is to provide pop up appreciation events all over the city. These events will include free meals, education opportunities, and times for social connection and personal recharge. We want to invite you to join us as we show our gratitude.

To Date, we have been able to bless almost 200 Community Caregivers with encouragement, a meal, and improved access to resources for the population they service. These efforts support for the work they are doing in our community. Our Appreciation Project has reached local staff at:

* Local church staff

* Local Fire Department (2 times)

* Local Police Department

* Local private school staff

* Peer Support Group composed of first responders all over the state of Kansas

* Family Table composed of pastors from all over the Kansas City area

* Several foster families

* A group of counselors and leaders from the Kansas City area

We still have 8 more months to go! You can be a part of this groundbreaking and dynamic outreach designed to refresh, encourage, and strengthen those who are caring for the needs of our community.

Our goal for this project is $50,000.
