About the event
THIS WILL NOW BE OFFERED IN-PERSON AND ONLINE! A Zoom link will be sent out the week of the event.
This two-day workshop is open to professional counselors, biblical counselors, and other professionals working with individuals with a history of complex trauma and childhood abuse. This event is NOT designed for trauma survivors. Melissa Finger, Deborah Simon, and Stefanie Hinman will be speaking from the lens of their decades of experience working with complex trauma and dissociation. At this event we will be presenting on topics related to working with these survivors. We will discuss the diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder, ethical considerations working with dissociation, how the body responds to trauma, and various interventions that have been successful in bringing lasting healing to these individuals.Â
If you attend the full 12 hours of the workshop, you will be eligible to attend our monthly Trauma Cohorts. At these cohorts we staff cases and discuss various strategies for helping clients to heal and grow. A FULL outline of the event will be released soon!
This event is FREE of charge! There is a suggested donation of $40 to help cover lunch and supplies. You can make a donation to cover a portion of the cost of the event at www.traumahealingcenterkc.com/give Â
