About the event
It can be difficult to treat yourself well, especially when you have received messages your entire life that you don't deserve it or it is selfish or even that it is not Christ-like. It is hard to love your neighbor like yourself until you know what a healthy relationship with yourself looks like.Â
In this trauma-informed 4-week class, we will present useful and practical tools for creating a healthy relationship with yourself. This information will be geared towards those individuals with a Trauma Coping System or Dissociative Identity Disorder. However, the majority of the information presented will be applicable to anyone who wants to develop a healthy relationship with yourself through self-care, understanding your own heart, and learning to respect where you are today. When utilized appropriately, these tools have been proven to help people move forward into a stronger sense of identity.
This class would also be appropriate for a counselor, pastor, prayer minister, or friend of someone healing from trauma to attend.
